Carrot Finance Ltd (Company No. 17085979), The Old House, Main Street, Maids Moreton, Buckingham, MK18 1QU (FRN: 1053834) is an Appointed Representative of Moorgate Finance Limited, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Under this arrangement, Carrot Finance Ltd is authorised to carry out regulated credit broking activities in relation to asset finance.
Carrot Finance Ltd is also an Introducer Appointed Representative of Presto Finance Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Under this arrangement, Carrot Finance Ltd is permitted to introduce customers to Presto Finance Ltd for the purposes of motor finance only.
For motor finance, Carrot Finance Ltd acts solely as an introducer to Presto Finance Ltd, which is responsible for all regulated credit broking activities, including assessing your requirements and introducing you to suitable lenders.
For asset finance, Carrot Finance Ltd acts as a credit broker (not a lender) and may introduce you to a panel of third-party lenders. We do not provide independent financial advice or personalised recommendations.
We will receive commission in connection with the services we provide. Commission amounts and structures vary depending on the lender and may include fixed fee, fixed rate of commission, percentage of the amount you borrow and rate for risk (this is based on the risk profile of the business). Further details of the commission model, calculation and amount will be disclosed to you throughout your customer journey.
We process personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. To source and arrange finance, we may share your personal and financial information with multiple selected lenders, finance providers and related intermediaries. This may include identity details and financial information. Some lenders may also carry out credit searches where required. Further information on how and why we share your data, including any international transfers and retention periods, is set out in this Privacy Policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration ZC108701), verifiable at www.ico.org.uk.

What data we collect
To arrange finance, we typically collect: name, date of birth, contact details, address and address history, identification documents, employment details, income and expenditure information, business details, company accounts, bank statements, property details, security information, and any other information reasonably required by a lender to assess your application.
We may also collect information from third parties, including credit reference agencies, fraud prevention agencies, lenders, our principal firms, and, where you have been introduced to us, the introducer.
How we use your data
We use your personal data to provide, arrange, administer, and renew finance facilities; to communicate with you, lenders, and professional advisers; to comply with legal and regulatory requirements; and to improve our services.
The legal bases we rely on are: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in running our business (including credit broking and record keeping), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required.
Who we share your data with
We share your personal data only with parties involved in providing, arranging, administering, or renewing your finance, including:
- Lenders and their credit reference agencies, to enable an application and to administer any facility that completes.
- Our principal firms, Moorgate Finance Limited and Presto Finance Ltd, where a regulated activity is placed under their FCA permissions.
- Professional advisers and service providers, including valuers, solicitors, accountants, and IT suppliers operating under appropriate contractual controls.
- Regulators and government bodies, where legally required.
- Our auditors, insurers, and external advisers, where required for the proper running of the business.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom except where a lender or professional adviser engaged on your case operates from another jurisdiction and appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long we keep your data
We retain your personal data for up to twelve years after our relationship ends, reflecting industry practice and regulatory record keeping requirements. Data held beyond the active relationship is held securely and accessed only where needed for a legitimate purpose.
Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data.
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to have inaccurate data corrected.
- The right to have data erased in certain circumstances.

We notify the Information Commissioner's Office and, where applicable, you, of any personal data breach that meets the notification threshold under the UK GDPR.
